Prokofiev’s ballet masterpiece was chosen as the opening premiere of newly appointed ballet director Jorge Pérez Martínez at Landestheater Eisenach. Highlighting the theatrical aspects of Shakespeare’s play, a set of red palazzo walls reveal their back construction for the more sombre parts of the ballet, creating a variety of spaces.
